Washington, NYC too much for 4 days!

After jumping on a plane to Washington D.C. to join my husband on a work trip, I was astonished by the beauty of the city, the weather could not have been better, the vibe was amazing, felt very refreshed and ready to come back to Houston with a great entrepreneurial feeling inspired by the blooming of the cherry blossom trees.

We visited the National Museum briefly due to other arrangements made by the conference and realized how much history lays inside the buildings of Washington that go unknown by so many Americans.

On friday the sky was clear and we walked on the bay, enjoying a nocciola ice cream and looking at the marine 1 tour the skies multiple times by no apparent reason. When we finally had to go to the airport we were shocked with the news that Houston was getting hammered by a horrible storm and our flight would be delayed undefinately. Do we decided to get on a plane to NYC and leave from there the next day...

Everything was fine until we boarded the plane and when we were ready for take off, we pulled back to the gate to let some passengers into ur plane so they could get to their connecting flights in NY; that whole or deal took around 2 hours of being grounded. We finally land in NYC at midnight and immediately head to Cafe Pastis for a bite to eat and then partied for a little bit, catching up with old friends.

Went to bed at 4am, woke up at 9am, brunch and left at noon to finally head back home, we get in the plane about to leave and guess what!? we get grounded again! we got off the plane, supposed to be there for 3 hours, then they changed their minds and got back in the plane after one hour and flew back... It took us 2 hours more than usual to get to Houston, we land the plane and we can't get off it because we don't have a gate! so we are stuck in the plane infront of our gate for 2 more hours! bla bla bla

Finally at 9:45 pm we got home! exhausted, smelling like plane, and starving, needless to say we never got anything to eat or drink while we were waiting! unbeleivable! do you have a story that can top mine? would LOVE to hear it!
